About this course
Knowing you need support and actually having it in place when the baby arrives are two very different things. Building a support network requires specific actions: identifying who can help, figuring out what you need, asking clearly, and coordinating so that support doesn't cluster in the first week and vanish by week three. This workbook gives you a step-by-step system for doing exactly that.
By the end of this course you will be able to create a written support map of your network, draft a clear needs communication for your closest supporters, build a coordinated help schedule covering the first six postpartum weeks, and prepare scripts for asking for specific types of support.

- How to identify and connect with a peer support group โ in person or remote โ that adds companionship and shared experience to your network
- How to communicate a change in need when your support requirements shift, including how to graciously redirect help that is not matching what you currently need
The workbook contains nine exercises. Each exercise includes a brief explanation, a worked example from a composite family scenario, and a template or script for you to complete. The exercises are designed to be completed before the baby arrives so your support system is in place when you need it. A final exercise asks you to share your completed support plan with your partner and at least one key support person before your due date.
