Excellent long-term care is built over years through deliberate culture, clear strategy, and operational excellence. This applied course teaches the long-run leadership work that distinguishes high-performing facilities. By the end of this course you will be able to design and sustain a positive resident-centered culture, develop and execute strategy that responds to a changing environment, build operational excellence across services, and develop the next generation of long-term care leaders. What you will learn: - Frameworks for building a person-centered care culture across staff levels - Approaches to staff engagement, retention, and recognition in challenging labor markets - Strategy development frameworks for long-term care organizations - Approaches to service line development including memory care, post-acute, and home-based services - Operational excellence frameworks including process improvement and data infrastructure - Leadership development for department heads and frontline supervisors - Approaches to community partnerships and reputation building over years The course is structured around six applied modules. Each produces a written artifact: a culture plan, a staff engagement strategy, a service strategy, an operations roadmap, a leadership pipeline plan, and a community engagement plan. This course is written for experienced administrators, regional and corporate leaders, and aspiring senior leaders in long-term care. It does not replace formal administrator licensure or organization-specific governance. By the end you will have structured frameworks for long-term leadership work that sustains excellence across years.
