This text-based course guides you from the absolute basics of Western music notation to a solid understanding of how rhythm, melody, and harmony interact. - Identify pitches, intervals, major and minor scales, and key signatures
- Master rhythm, meter, and time signatures to understand musical timing
- Analyze basic harmonic progressions, phrases, and cadences
- Apply classical theory concepts to modern digital workflows and contemporary songwriting
The course begins with foundational definitions and key terminology, establishing a strong base before moving into intervals, scales, and rhythmic structures. You will then explore harmonic relationships and structural forms, learning how to dissect and understand music on a deeper level.

It's a good course if you have some prior knowledge. For absolute beginners, some concepts might be a bit challenging. The structure is logical, though.
It's a decent course. The structure is okay, but I found some of the explanations a little vague. Useful for a general overview, though.
This was a brilliant way to learn! The structure was logical, the pace was spot on, and the examples were super helpful. Highly recommend!
This was exactly what I was looking for. The explanations were so clear and the examples really helped solidify the concepts.
Found it useful for a refresher. Not sure it would be the best starting point for a complete beginner, tbh.
Overall a good learning experience. The structure made sense, and the examples were relevant, though I felt some topics could have been explored more thoroughly.
Informative and well-organized. I appreciated the effort put into the examples. I'd say it's a good intermediate-level course.
